Skin Care: What to do And What not to do

People especially women have been using various herbs, creams, lotions and other related stuff for getting a glowing skin since old times. Although, the main purpose of skin is to protect our body from external environment but it is also a symbol of beauty. Soft and silky skin is liked by everyone.

Not only this, skin is also observed to get an idea about the age of a person as older people have wrinkles on their skin and their skin is relatively looser than that of youngsters. With the advancement in technology, various new methods have been adopted that not only enhances your complexion but also remove the effects of aging.

A large number of cosmetic surgeries are introduced majority of which are done for enhancing skin beauty but these surgeries have various side effects such as itching, swallowing of skin etc.

Apart from this, a large number of skin care lotions, creams, cleansers, face wash etc are available in the market but unfortunately majority of them are not safe to use as they have various side effects.People especially women have been using various herbs, creams, lotions and other related stuff for getting a glowing skin since old times.

Apart from this, a large number of skin care lotions, creams, cleansers, face wash etc are available in the market but unfortunately majority of them are not safe to use as they have various side effects.When it comes to our skin then majority of the people especially young girls and boys go for those creams or lotions that offer results within say 15 days or 1 month.

These creams have dangerous chemicals and steroids in them which damage the outer most layer of our skin exposing the inner sensitive layer. I am sharing this not to make you worried but to tell you about ground realities.

If you want to maintain your skin health and look younger even in your forties then instead of going for a surgery or using any low quality cream or lotion you must use natural and safe means to ensure skin health. In order to make things easier I have come up with some information regarding skin care for people of all ages.

Following information and suggestions are the result of my personal experiences and observations as well as research from internet.Whenever we talk with a skin care specialist/dermatologist then the first thing they say is to avoid extensive use of chemicals on your skin.

During a discussion with one of the dermatologists, I was being advised to wash face at least twice a day but not more than 5 times. She also suggested me t use herbal soap or a face wash instead of using soups commonly available in the market. Majority of the people over wash and scrub skin which is really dangerous.

It is highly advised to use any cream or lotion containing benzoyl peroxide after washing your face as it avoids the accumulation of bacteria and oil. Sometime clothes with extreme fitting may also cause various skin problems so girls, be very careful while wearing fitted clothes and never ever touch your skin with dirty hands as human skin is very sensitive. If you wear glasses then remove dust from them every time you wear it.

Women should remove makeup before sleeping no matter how tired they are as prolonged application of makeup may harm you skin and do not compromise on the quality of makeup.

Always buy branded makeup. These are general tips for avoiding acne and various other common skin diseases but what if you are already affected by any skin disease? In this care, you need to be extra careful as a little carelessness can worsen the situation.

Skin care is not a matter of day or two, you have to complete your way of living in order to get healthy skin as our skin is affected by everything we do ranging from our eating habits to sleeping habits that is why majority of the skin care specialist asks about our diet and sleeping schedule before asking anything about our skin.

You must sleep at least 6 to 8 hours a day as our body removes old cells during sleep and replace them with the new cells which means the more you sleep the greater number of new skim cells you get and more younger and fresher you look.

Next thing that comes in natural skin care is the use of healthy food as the food we eat provides energy to our body for removing dead cells and growing new cells. It is generally suggested to avoid red meat and replace it with white meat that is fish.

Following are the things to use and to avoid as per your diet.

• Avoid using refined products or products that have gone through various processes and that involve preservatives as well as artificial tastes.

• Replace brown rice with white rice.

• Eat as many fresh fruits as possible especially apple.

• Drink more than 10 glasses of water very day as water is a natural tonic that removes all the toxic chemicals from your body.

• Beans and legumes are also good.

• Avoid excessive use of sugar

• Quit alcohol

• Decrease the intake of coffee, tea or any other products having caffeine in them.

Next comes, the exercise as it not only keeps your weight in control but also makes you look 15 to 20 years younger from your original age.

Majority of the people makes excuses that they do not have enough time for exercise. For all those people, taking out 30 minutes every day for the workout is not a difficult job.Here I  must tell you one other important thing, various researches have proved that stress, anxiety and depression effects our whole body particularly our skin so try to remain happy and b optimistic, face the problems bravely instead of getting depressed as every dark cloud has a silver lining.

Here I focus on using natural skin care treatments instead of remaining ones as they are safer. You may also use various herbal masks on your skin but only after the confirmation of your skin specialist as not every mask may suit you.

It is better to know which type of skin you have oily, normal or dry before using any cream, lotion or mask on it. No matter what is your age or current situation of your skin, the above mentioned tips and suggestions will definitely help you in achieving soft, silky and young looking skin but only if you remain consistent as consistence is the secret to success.
